Leelanau MI

We traveled even further north today.  Again it was cold.  We passed the half way point between the equator and the North Pole.  The vineyards and orchards were gorgeous with the fall colors in the back drop.

We got a kick out of this sign.

Fall Colors

The trees and colors have been awesome!!  That alone had been worth the trip.

Northern MI

We head to sleeping bear dunes on Tuesday.  As you can see from Jenns Eskimo outfit, it was cold.  That didn't stop us from trying the skim board that we had spent hours making. Let just say it was a bust.  Back to the drawing board.

Sullivan's Blessing

On Oct 20 we had Sullivan's blessing.  Mom and Dad were able to use their free flights to come out and join us.

Canada, Niagara, Cumorah, and the Lambs

We we're fortunate enough to have Sass and the G-man fly their entire family out for a fun vacation.
After an unusually long trek through Canada (looks of bathroom breaks and bowel issues for the cranney kids) we made it to Niagara.  #awesome

We toured the Sacred Grove, EB grandin press, and Hill Cumorah.

On our way to OH, we stopped in Erie and hung out at the lake.

Last stop was Kirkland.  Weird we didn't take any pics though. We put on a few miles and saw lots sites.  Thanks Lambs for being good sports and putting up with us for a week!

Vernal

I finished step II of the boards and then we all headed out to UT.  We hadn't been back for 18 months, so we were excited to be there.  We took the boys to Butt Ridge and the dinosaur quarry.  The boys loved the hiking and it was fun to see everyone.

I really discovered the panorama on my phone this trip so buckle up -more of these to come.

Hoye Crest, MD

Many of the "trails" have been simply roads to the top.  Hoye Crest was a little different.  2 miles round trip with a pretty good incline. I didn't know if everyone would make it.  Jenn gave me a few glares ( I have a habit of underestimating).

Our stay at the top was limited due to a brewing thunderstorm

Andrew found a geocash

The thunderstorm hit!

What we looked like at the bottom

Right before mom and dad made it back it really started to come down.  They got got a little wet
