Hoye Crest, MD

Many of the "trails" have been simply roads to the top.  Hoye Crest was a little different.  2 miles round trip with a pretty good incline. I didn't know if everyone would make it.  Jenn gave me a few glares ( I have a habit of underestimating).

Our stay at the top was limited due to a brewing thunderstorm

Andrew found a geocash

The thunderstorm hit!

What we looked like at the bottom

Right before mom and dad made it back it really started to come down.  They got got a little wet

Spruce Knob

On our way to spruce knob, we found this cool little place called Seneca Rock.  We stopped for a quick pic and then headed up the "mountain."

Somehow it has become tradition to take a family photo similar to this one at the top of every highpoint.

This trip we started another tradition of flying a kite on top (as long as the wind picks up!)

The actual highpoint

The highpoint was more impressive than some of the others we have done.  It was awesome to see such great views and to actual feel like you were elevated above the surrounding terrain

This is moms first highpoint and dads second, also having bagged kings in UT.
