Jenn, Tera and Ashley prior to the race.
Porter and Tanner hanging out in the hotel lobby. Jenn found a really great deal online for our hotel. It was the perfect location. That morning Porter, Andrew and Me watch the race go by right outside our window and then the finish line was just right up the street.
Jenn signed me up to receive text during the race that kept me up-to-date on her whereabouts. It was sweet and was with in minutes of her "predicted finish time." This is a pic of the three boys watching, trying to find their moms. I am so proud of Jenn. What a trooper. One of her talents in life is toughness. She'll just wake up one day and decide to do something like a marathon and then do it. Due to our trip to Guatemala she missed one of the big training runs and didn't get a lot of time to train while we were there. None of this even phased her though. I think I was more nervous that she wasn't going to be able to do it than she was. Afterwards she wasn't even tired and didn't sleep a wink until that night (maybe she should have pushed her self ha ha). We had our lungs tested once and the Dr. was extremely impressed with how big Jenn's were. I keep telling her she has a physiologic advantage, but she just says she is tough. Anyway, good job to Jenn, Tera and Ashley. They all finished the race! Ashley first and then Jenn and Tera finished together. I think they inspired me enough to consider the 26.2 that separates the men from the boys, but I haven't committed yet.
Don't know as though I would be this happy if my nipples were chaffed this badly! Kudos to this guy though for being proud of the "scars" that prove his toughness.
