The Dinosaur Quarry

After years and years of telling Jenn how awesome the Dino Quarry is, I was finally able to show her. It has been closed down for awhile and is now re-opened. I hesitate even blogging about it as I am not sure Vernal has the capacity to hold all those that will be booking hotels in response to this blog. But, for your sakes I did anyway. Your welcome!

Just a few morsels and tid-bits to pique your interest: %50 of the the Dino species identified in North America have been found in Dinosaur National Monument; Many of the species original excavated can be found in the Carnegie Museum in Pittsburgh and the Smithsonian.

  2. Definitely good news to hear the re-opening of the famous Vernal dino museum. I remember watching the rock chippers on the cliff side inside the place. Great memory. We will be going for sure, whether or not Vernal can handle it, we will be there in February when a friend of mine returns from deployment. We are excited to see him and his family, your family out there, and the reconstructed dino sight!
